Meet Joe, a seasoned canvasser with a passion for making a positive impact on the world. Joe's journey in the canvassing industry started in 2009 when he joined Clean Water Action in Providence, RI. From there, he moved to San Diego, CA and began working for the local Greenpeace canvassing office. With a natural talent for effectively raising money for environmental and humanitarian campaigns, Joe quickly rose through the ranks and became an Office Director, setting fundraising records that still stand to this day.
After a long and successful tenure with Greenpeace, Joe accepted an offer from New Canvassing Experience (NCE), the nation's largest canvassing agency. At NCE, Joe continued to excel as a member of their Senior Management Team, where he served as the National Canvass Director and a senior manager in the Human Resources Department.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Joe took a break from the canvassing industry and contracted out his licensed skills to help homeowners in San Diego. This experience, while fulfilling, reminded him of his belief in the importance of face-to-face fundraising for non-profits and the urgent need for it, as many charities had suffered major setbacks due to the pandemic. With this in mind, Joe decided to start his own organization, Canvass Consulting Group (CCG), to bring his expertise and success back to the canvassing world.
When he's not working, Joe loves to spend time playing music and camping with friends and family. With his extensive experience and unwavering commitment to making a difference, Joe is poised to continue his life's work through Canvass Consulting Group.

Meet Jeremy, a well-versed professional with a wealth of experience in fundraising. He began his journey in the industry in 2013, working for Greenpeace U.S.A in Seattle, WA, where his hard work and dedication to the environmental movement earned him a promotion to Senior Team Leader, one of the top positions in the office.
In 2016, he was recruited by New Canvassing Experience (NCE) to come work for them as a Team Leader in their Los Angeles office. By March of 2017, he had already become the Los Angeles Office Director, showcasing his exceptional leadership skills and commitment to the industry.
During his six-year tenure with NCE, Jeremy also worked as a Regional Director of Southern California, overseeing the company's canvassing operations in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego, as well as serving as a Travel Director. He was known as one of the most consistent Directors and Regional Directors in the company, with his fundraising efforts standing out. Jeremy was the first fundraiser in the company to reach the 1,500 donors recruited mark, and was the most profitable fundraiser in the fiscal year 2017. With these accomplishments, he has personally helped to raise over 1 million dollars for various organizations, including Save The Children, The Nature Conservancy, MSF, The San Diego Humane Society, CARE, and the Humane Society of the U.S.
After taking some time to teach for a small community non-profit school in Mexico and conducting private tutoring sessions, Jeremy teamed up with Joe Begin and Sean McGrady to form Canvassing Consulting Group (CCG). He is now eager to return to the sector and continue making a positive impact on people's lives and the world as a whole.
In his free time, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and their beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel "Oli". He is also passionate about composing music on his acoustic guitar and playing in bands, sharing his diverse interests and talents.
(Co-founder and Special Operations Manager)
Sean McGrady is known as one of the most successful team builders, motivators, and rainmakers in the canvassing world.
In a seven-year Greenpeace USA career, Sean would start as a ten-dollar-an-hour canvasser and work his way up to National Frontline Director, becoming the head of the largest in-house nonprofit canvass in North America.
This long roadmap to the top provided Sean with a fresh perspective, leading to a strong desire for continual innovations and positive disruptions, always wanting to better results and also the sustainability of the men and women doing the crucial work on the ground. He learned that the canvassers themselves often possess some of the best and most vibrant ideas to improve the canvass.
Ultimately, at Greenpeace and later at New Canvassing Experience, Sean and his teams would shatter fundraising records at every term. As Vice President of Fundraising Affairs at NCE, he represented such respected NGOs as Doctors Without Borders, The Nature Conservancy, the ACLU, along with other esteemed organizations.
Sean is a proven innovator who understands the need to maximize the impact of face-to-face fundraising at the initial point of engagement.
Sean started his career as a journalist and internationally acclaimed novelist—he learned early on that crafting a powerful, authentic story is what wins on the streets and doors of America. And that telling that powerful, heartfelt story to benefit a great nonprofit can be taught and trained.
Sean has a deep and abiding commitment to social and environmental justice work. As Executive Director of Quixote Communities in Olympia, Washington, he created the vision and strategy to raise many millions of dollars to build high-end tiny house communities for unhoused veterans and to provide them the case management to become whole again.
In his career, Sean has done every kind of fundraising—social media campaigns to major gifts to mailers to creating agency endowments—but his greatest love is the canvass, using the power of real voices to bring about profound change.
One’s who’ve enjoyed remarkable success not only in the field but who also have track records creating highly motivational work cultures that accentuate teamwork and fun while contextualizing the importance of the mission. We are proven performers who are expert at training up teams, developing leadership and retention, while also collaborating to foster vision and inspiration—which can be the difference maker for street and door canvassing.
